The Warriors were favourites going into the Hospital Days tournament, and they did not disappoint.
Coming off a highly successful season with only two losses, the Warriors entered as defending champs for Hospital Days and their league.
Their path to victory hit a bump when they faced the Traitors, who handed the Warriors their third season loss. But the Warriors bounced back with a strong all-around performance against the Grinders, setting up a rematch against the Traitors in the final.
In the decisive game, the Warriors avenged their earlier loss, clinching the Hospital Days crown for a second year. Next, the Warriors turned their focus to defending their league championship. In the semi-final, they dominated the Cousins, sending them to the losers’ bracket to meet the Sons of Pitches.
But the Cousins crawled back, defeating the Traitors, who had eliminated the Sons of Pitches, and setting up a Cousins-Warriors showdown. The final was a thrilling back-and-forth, but the Warriors’ powerful hitters ultimately secured their second straight league championship.
Reflecting on the achievement, Josh ‘Scoops’ Wesley of the Warriors said, “This is our number-one objective. Everything else is secondary.”
