Ashley Currie

I’m Ashley Currie, and I’m asking for support as I run for a second term as a Haida Gwaii School District Trustee. The past four years have been a learning experience. I’ve learned about our district, and I’ve had the opportunity to listen to students, parents, staff and communities and hear what matters to them. I’m proud of what our Board has accomplished, including the completion of Daaxiigan Sk’adáa Née K-12 School, strengthening strategic planning, supporting Haida ways of knowing in our schools and advocating for the resources our students and staff need. As a parent of two children in school, I care about our district’s educational goals and the opportunities we can provide our kids—as a board, as parents and as communities.
