Haida Gwaii’s all-ladies Tsunami Sirens hang tough at Queens Tournament in rainy, windy and muddy conditions. With three teams withdrawing, the schedule was reduced and the Sirens played four games instead of their usual five, with one fewer round-robin match.
Two of those games were close, but the late breaks went against the Sirens. Despite the results, the team kept a positive outlook and enjoyed the weekend.
“We usually play a minimum of five games, but we only got four since three teams dropped out,” said Sandra Brooks. “Two were within reach, we just could not pull them out. We had fun though.”

Team honours went to MVP Laina Bell and All-Star Bailey McDonald.
