The North Coast Regional District has completed the first phase of its Official Community Plan revitalization for Electoral Areas D and E, which cover Tow Hill, Tlell, Lawnhill, Miller Creek and Sandspit.
The district is now asking residents to weigh in on the goals and objectives that could shape future development in these communities. Two public surveys are open until Feb. 1, 2026, and take about 15 minutes each to complete. Participants can choose to include their contact information for follow up and can also enter a prize draw.
The surveys are available on the district’s project website.
Feedback gathered in this phase will guide the next round of consultation and help shape draft vision statements and guiding principles for each community.
The district is also reminding residents that Voyent Alert is used across Haida Gwaii for emergency notices and community updates. The service is free, simple to register for, and anonymous.
Residents can download the Voyent Alert mobile app from the Apple or Google Play stores, or sign up for email, text or voice call notifications at register.voyent-alert.com.
