Effective Monday, Feb. 10, the Village of Daajing Giids will begin enforcing Street and Traffic Bylaw No. 56-2012 on the south side of 3rd Avenue, between 9th and 10th Street. The bylaw, originally introduced in 2013, was implemented to improve traffic flow, ensure access for emergency services, and enhance safety near public spaces.
To further support compliance, additional signage will be installed in the coming month near the Community Park parking lot to inform residents and visitors of the overnight parking restrictions.
Penalties include a $25 fine for the first offence and $50 for subsequent offences. Each day an infraction continues, it will be treated as a separate offence.
