Skidegate Days 2024 saw many smiling faces as peopled joined in activities all over the village.
Bingo and poker were some of the early activities on Friday.
Fry bread sizzled, and softball games were in full swing Saturday, along with a salmon-splitting contest that had fishtails flying. A crowd favourite was the canoe races, where teams of eight took paddles in hand and to race the eagles.
Children had three bouncy houses and a bumping DJ booth at the new playground. Haida Gwaii Rec staff had kids compete in baby races and egg-toss challenges.Â
People danced into the early hours of Sunday with local talents Soulshine & Friends and DJ Union Native.
